Our Annual Spring Clean Up was a great success this year and some of our neighbors decided to make it a "family event". Sonila Daci and her daughter Sarah (2VRL) decided that it was an excellent opportunity for a mother/daughter day. Xu Wenlian and his son Daniel (3VP) also took the opportunity for some father/son bonding. Both of our younger volunteers had a great time and are proud of their contribution to their neighborhood.
Josh Petroski (84 VRL) and his brother Zak joined in with Lisa and Paul Hamm (90VRL) to complete our family volunteers while diligently improving our community.
Sandy Vecchioni (1VRL) and Guosheng Liu (86 VRL) were invaluable contributors as they joined in with June McCleary (9VRL), Sue Culbertson (61VRL) and Bo Grimes (88VRL) to make the event a success. Due to the work of these volunteers; our community now boasts a newly painted entrance sign, trimmed shrubs and trees, piles of broken branches, weed free areas and new plants in our wetlands. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS.
****WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THE INFORMATION THEY SHARED ON THEIR QUESTIONNAIRES.**** THERE IS GREAT CONCERN ABOUT PROPERTY VALUES AND YOUR SUGGESTIONS WILL GO A LONG WAY TO HELP US AND TO ALSO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE, THAT WE SHARE, AT VALLEY CROSSING II...OUR FIRST ENDEAVOR WILL BE TO INTRODUCE NEW AND MORE UP TO DATE EXTERIOR PAINT COLORS. COMMUNITY UPDATE !!
Hello,
Recently
a makeshift fort was constructed along Fallsbrook Road in the area
across from 247/249 Fallsbrook. It was apparent that whoever had been
inside the "structure" had been lighting fires and smoking.
The
area is maintained by Baltimore County Recreation and Parks and
personnel from that agency dismantled the structure. Residents are
encouraged to notify the police department if future structures are
discovered. As a reminder the park is closed after sunset.
Additionally,
last week a GPS was stolen from a Dulaney High student's vehicle. The vehicle had been left unlocked. We
have made an arrest in the case, however, I wanted to remind everyone
to lock the doors to their vehicles.
Thank you.

LAWN CARE....CUTTING AND EDGING
One of our community members just suggested Robert Bedsaul as a reliable source that they use for their own lawn maintenance. He has been cutting lawns and edging in the community for many of the homeowners for over 20 yrs. If you are interested in contacting Robert he can be reached at 410.952.3540 or through email at robertbedsaul@comcast.net.
We will be adding his name to our link of Neighborhood Contractors for future search. Please note that all the names on the list are suggestions from your neighbors and are not an endorsement from the HOA.

Kids are putting Drano, tin foil, and a little water in plastic drink bottles and capping it up - leaving it on lawns, in mail boxes, in gardens, on driveways etc. just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the rubbish, but you'll never make it!!!
If the bottle is picked up, and the bottle is shaken even just a little - in about 30 seconds or less it builds up enough gas which then explodes with enough force to remove some of your extremities. The liquid that comes out is boiling hot as well.
Don't pick up any plastic bottles that may be lying in your yards or in the gutter, etc.
Pay attention to this. A plastic bottle with a cap. A little Drano. A little water.
A small piece of foil. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!!
No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc.
Please ensure that everyone that may not have email access are also informed of this.

SUNKEN CITY OF WARREN
There is a town beneath Loch Raven Reservoir, or at least, the remaining foundations of one. It's a fascinating story and a perfect drama ready for the finding. Take the kids, grand kids or yourself for a day of discovery. There's plenty of information at our local Balto. Historical Society; 9811 Van Buren Lane in Cockeysville, 410.666.1878 or our local Library.

company store on Main Street in Warren. Apparently the stone building
had a frame addition on one side. Photo shows a crowd of children
standing in the dirt street watching the photographer and a bread truck
advertising breads and pies. Part of a horse drawn farm wagon can be
seen in the left foreground.
